The short version
Equity Wiser is a static website. It does not collect personal data from visitors, it does not use analytics or tracking cookies, and no information you type into the calculator is transmitted to us or any third party. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. When you click an outbound link to a partner lender, you leave this site and become subject to that lender’s own privacy practices.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not ask you to register, create an account, or submit a form. We do not set tracking cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any other third-party analytics or session-recording script. We do not receive logs of your IP address beyond whatever standard server logs our hosting provider keeps for operational security, and we do not tie those logs to any personal identifier.
What happens to the calculator numbers
The HELOC-vs-refinance calculator on the homepage processes the values you enter entirely on your device. Your home value, mortgage balance, rates, and other inputs never leave your browser. They are used to compute the result displayed on-screen and are discarded when you close the tab. No server sees them. This is true of every interactive tool on the site.
Affiliate links and partner referrals
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links to lenders and financial-product partners. When you click one, standard HTTP referrer headers may inform that partner you came from Equity Wiser. That partner’s own privacy policy governs what happens after you leave this site. We never sell your information because we don’t have any information to sell.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may set standard technical cookies required to serve the site. Partner sites you navigate to may set their own cookies per their own policies.
Children’s privacy
Equity Wiser is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, a contact form, or any other data-collection feature in the future, we will update this page and date the change at the top. There is no continuous tracking of visitors, so there is nothing to opt out of today.

Questions about how this site handles privacy can be sent to our contact address. Because we collect no personal data, we cannot fulfill data-access or data-deletion requests for information we never held.
